Description
The unique semi-circular design of this guard provides a lot of coverage of the chuck and drill bit. The guard is suitable for single and multi-station drills. It is easy to fit, easy to adjust and easy to use. The front opening 5mm-thick polycarbonate screen is 120mm wide x 200mm high and it is mounted to a height-adjustable, side-fixing system with 100mm of vertical adjustment. The guard is equipped with a tamper-proof micro switch and steel mount.
The curved screen offers excellent coverage of the rotating spindle and added protection from entanglement and ejection hazards. It will also help to prevent possible ejection from a chuck key if it is accidentally left in the drill chuck.
The interlock is fitted into the mounting bracket and is a 2NC-1NO IP67 micro switch (code Mic 002). The safety interlock switch ensures that the safety screen must be in place before the machine can be operated. DC injection braking is optional as is our dual-channel safety control panel, along with an additional e-stop or kick-stop. Our ‘safety panels’ contain safety relays and dual-power switching contactors. This system provides redundancy and fault tolerance, and it complies with current Standards regarding safety-related parts of control systems.
Additional 3KSPT and 3KSPS mounting brackets can be purchased separately if required.
